9 Vegan Holiday Recipes (gluten-free)

Finding vegan holiday recipes can sometimes be a challenge. Add on the challenge of also having to host gluten-free can seem to be a near to impossible challenge. Here are 9 of my favourite recipe ideas for the holidays to satisfy most restrictive diets.

There is nothing like coming home for this vegan holiday recipe that also happens to be gluten-free. Having a freshly baked batch of scones waiting for you when you wake up is a tradition in our house hold. They are a great staple for the holidays, but good vegan and gluten-free scone recipes are about as rare as unicorns.
2. Vegan All-Natural Holiday Pomegranate & Orange Grapefruit Gumdrops
Everyone loves a good gummy. I wanted to make this version as healthy and natural as possible while keeping true to the taste and texture of the gummies. However, it is hard to find good all-natural, vegan gummies recipes that reproduce the texture well as well as the original version.

Fruit cakes have a bad rap. Traditional fruit cakes you’ll often find strange tasting artificial candied fruits that, quite frankly, could do without. Other vegan fruit cake recipes I found to be dry and crumbly. This recipe redeems fruit cake. Its dense, moist & healthy.
4. Chai Poached Pears with Spicy Habanero Orange Sauce and Homemade Granola

This spicy recipe is the perfect holiday recipe. It is easily dressed up or dressed down depending on the occasion. It makes for an amazing holiday dinner party dessert but it is also great the next day for a light and fruity breakfast parfait.
5. Stuffed Eggplant and Tahini Sauce

This vegan dish is so delicious you’ll keep coming back for more. Lentils and brown rice give it a beautiful consistency and texture, and the sauce is so good you’ll want to lick your plate clean.
6. Vegan Meatless Mushroom Stuffed Cabbage Rolls

This dish is low carb, dairy-free, gluten-free, and vegan. It is savory, sweet, and a little spicy and perfect for Christmas dinner or just as a side dish.
7. Muhammara Roasted Red Pepper Walnut Dip

8. Creamy Vegan Cauliflower & Leek Soup

This Potato leek soups is a classic vegan holiday recipe for us. It is smooth and creamy. You don’t even miss the potatoes. So, during the holidays, if you are looking for recipes that won’t make you gain lbs, this works great!
9. Sweet Vegan Butternut Squash Soup

Entertaining guests for New Year’s is a challenge on its own and if you add food restrictions, either being vegan or gluten-free to the mix makes it near to impossible. Here are my favourite recipes that are perfect for entertaining making for the best New Year’s celebrations.
